The Minivan: No build conversion part 2

We are going on a trip, our first solo weekend vanventuring trip. This vacation means it is time to make sure the minivan is ready for the trip to Pismo Beach. This trip will be our first journey sleeping in the minivan, and I want to ensure that we are comfortable for the 6-hour drive to our destination.

On this trip, I need to ensure all our gear fits, and everything is accessible. For this no-build, I put storage under my dog’s side of the bed and in the “well” of the third-row seats. The storage was multiple and different size container boxes that I already had around the house. These boxes were previously purchased at Target and the Container Store.

Here is a list of the different boxes I have as storage:

Kitchen box

Mini kitchen box

Bathroom box

Dog gearbox

Mini dog gearbox

Dog food box

Insect repellants

Medicine box

The floor of the front seat is where I stored the following

Mini Always Pot

Mini Always Pan

Four one-gallon Hydroflask bottles

EcoFlow Power Banks

Solar panel

Window coverings

The floor of the passenger area

On top of the mattress

    • Pillows
    • Sleeping bags
    • Blankets
    • Backpacks (hiking and clothes). The backpacks get moved to the front seat when we sleep

Behind the passenger seat

  • Igloo iceless cooler
  • Toolbox
  •

Under the Hest Mattress

    • Step Ladder
    • Foldable Kitchen
    • Soft Dog Crate

The setup is not perfect, and we will likely make adjustments for the next trip. Still, the goal was to pack the necessities and ensure everything was accessible while we were at the campsite. Also, Luke needed to be comfortable in the back during the drive, and nothing would move while we were driving.

Everything packed nicely, and we are ready for the first Weekend Vanventuring trip. I cannot wait to share our adventure.

HAPPY VANVENTURING!
