Camp Packing List
I love lists and the ability to check tasks/items off a list. I generated a Camp Packing List for my use but figured it might help a newbie in their camping adventures.
Duration
Extras
Most of my camping trips are three to five days over the weekend, depending on how much time I can take off from work. I have yet to try and work from the road. Maybe soon, that can be a goal. I will pack all my gear into bins inside the van or throw loose items into my Thule rooftop box.
This list seems like a lot because many of these items are necessities (to me) when camping. Food, water, and clothes all depend on the length of the trip. I like to pack extra food, water, and undergarments for emergencies.
Weather
Remember that the Camp Packing List does not consider extreme weather conditions. I usually plan my camping trips to typically sunny locations with a chance of clouds. I always check the forecast before leaving and throw in the appropriate gear (i.e., rain boots and jackets).
Edits
This camp packing list helps me organize my small space and hopefully not overpack. I re-evaluate my lists after every trip and review the items I used and did not use. I may adjust the camp packing list for future trips depending on my needs. If it does change, I will make the updates on my Weekend Vanventuring blog.
The pin you clicked on is only a preview of the actual list. You will need to sign up via email to receive the complete list I use as a Camp Packing List.
Happy Vanventuring!
